His home would have been at the center of the social, cultural and economic scene in Santa Barbara at this time. In the mid 90’s The Santa Barbara Trust for Historic Preservation undertook a painstaking refurbishment at the Casa, rebuilding it using the same adobe block method. John’s firm, John Lambe Construction, was the contractor chosen for the renovation of this historic building and country club, and after a 4 year effort the new clubhouse, pool complex and Jack Nicklaus designed golf course are ready to open to its members in March 2019. Michael was commisioned by JLC to build a scale model of the new complex, and from June- November he was dedicated to this project.
